VEŠKRNOVÁ, Martina
Abstract The bachelor thesis is devoted to the investigation of the art therapeutic potential of different forms of the anima archetype in patients with affective disorders and their relation to this archetype. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces C.G. Jung's analytical psychology and his concept of archetypes, and focuses on the anima/animus archetype and its 3 forms, which are selected for this bachelor thesis. In the theoretical part, the clinical area on which the thesis focuses, i.e. the area of affective disorders, the specifics of diagnosis and therapy are presented. Furthermore, the most common comorbidity associated with affective disorders are mentioned. The knowledge about art therapy with mental patients and artwork of patients with affective disorders is presented, group art therapy and projective-intervention art therapy are discussed. The practical part describes the artistic creation of patients with affective disorder in art therapy groups, deals with the artistic processing of the anima/animus archetype in the assigned themes, the course of group art therapy and the interpretation of artefacts. The exploration of artefacts is ongoing throughout the group art therapy process. The final results highlight the art therapeutic potential of specific themes and their use in art therapy work with a group of patients with affective disorders.

Following this assumption, this work also tries to map the coping strategies that close persons use to support their own mental health. A qualitative methodology was chosen to attain the research objectives. The analysis of the interviews pointed to the subjectively most...
The biological basis of mental illness with regard to affective disorders
Volf, Petr ; Šivicová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Hrachovinová, Tamara (referee)
This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of current biological hypotheses and manifestations of mental illness with an emphasis on affective disorders. Mood disorders are the third most common mental disorder and lifelong perspective affects almost one-fifth of the population. For this reason, their etiology is important issue for the prevention, treatment and subsequent rehabilitation. Bachelor thesis puts emphasis on the biological disposition, especially anatomical and physiological abnormalities typical for affective disorders and attempts to classify and structure the existing research findings. The output is a research project that could provide the answer, if it is indeed a significant difference in biological dispositions (and their types) in individuals with emotional disorders and a healthy population. Specifically, the text contains anatomical and neurophysiological description of the structures of the brain that are responsible for the emotional state of a person, the clinical picture of affective disorders and an overview of approaches to their genesis. The following is dedicated to individual biological hypotheses, which results in the research question, that deals with the design of empirical investigation.

Šotolová, Lucie ; Marková, Eva (advisor) ; Petr, Tomáš (referee)
1 Abstract This thesis deals with community mental health care. We focus on patients with affective disorders because we assume that community mental health care services would be salutary for some of them but these patients do not use the services yet. A theoretical part describes the mental health concept and its specification, both in conceptual materials of Czech organizations and in World Health Organization documents. The thesis analyses affective disorders, their social impact and community mental health care situation in the Czech Republic. An empirical part consists of two empirical researches, which are interrelated. The questionnaire survey among hospitalized patients with an affective disorder has been focused on the level of awareness of community mental health care services, on patients' interest in these services and on use of these services. The on-line survey has been conducted in Prague's community mental health care organizations to determine a proportion of clients with an affective disorder within these services and to determine the possibility of their placement. It turned out that most of interviewed patients with an affective disorder are not informed about the community health care services and therefore they don't use the services but they would be interested in it. We conclude...

HEIDINGEROVÁ, Jana
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the topic of emotions and its influence on the artwork, as well as with the detection of the specific emotional expression of the authors in their artefacts. In this work, artefacts of psychiatric patients hospitalized for the treatment of affective disorders or emotionally unstable personality disorders are explored. The thesis describes similarities and differences in the manifestation of emotions in the artwork of patients with various diagnosis belonging to the diagnostic categories mentioned above. Both, the theoretical and the empirical part try to map the characteristic features of the art expression of these patients and at the same time to outline appropriate techniques and topics for practising art therapy with them. The theoretical part summarizes the most important terms and theories of emotions, emotional development, personality development, ontogenesis of art expression and emotional manifestations in artwork, it also describes the history of art therapy, art therapy with psychiatric patients and diagnostic characteristics of affective disorders and emotionally unstable personality disorder. The empirical part includes four case reports and it also contains analysis of a total of 88 artefacts to answer research questions. The results point to some differences in patient's art expression according to their diagnosis. Due to the limited size of the research sample and the methods used, it is not advisable to generalize the outcomes of this paper. However, the conclusions of the thesis may serve a topic for further studies.
